Adobe Substance 3D Stager is connected to many other Adobe applications, making it easy to work between apps.
Adobe Substance 3D Painter
Adobe Substance 3D Painter is the industry leading 3D painting and texturing application. You can send your open Painter projects to Stager using the Send to Stager action on the toolbar. Painter will automatically export your files to a temporary location then Stager will automatically import the files to your current project (or launch and create a new project if Stager wasn't opened yet). This saves tons of time and removes the need to create temporary export files to manage.

Adobe Substance 3D Sampler
Adobe Substance 3D Sampler is the best in class application for converting real world images into digital assets. Sampler can create both environment lights (IBLs) and materials - both of which you can send to Stager to use in your projects. Lights will be directly applied to your current document. Materials will be added to the project material panel

Adobe Susbtance 3D Designer

Adobe Aero is the most intuitive way to build, view, and share immersive AR experiences. Use the export for Aero to automatically prepare your scene for use in Aero then add behaviors, view your scene in the real world, and send to others to share in the experience.
You can access this feature in the menus under File > Export > Selected for Aero...
Materials define the way a 3D surface looks and reacts to lighting. Stager and Aero share some similar material properties, but also have some unique differences. Here are the changes that will occur when going from Stager to Aero:
Translucency: Aero does not support translucency currently. Glass, plastic, liquids, and other translucent material effects will not be preserved. Using plastics, metals, fabrics, woods, and other hard-surface materials will provide the best results between Dimension and Aero.
Decals: Decals will be flattened into the material on export and may be scaled down to a lower resolution.
Textures: Textures will be downsized to make the asset more performant on mobile devices. The downressing will be between a maximum texture size of 2048 and a minimum texture size of 256.
Once your objects leave Stager they’ll be treated as a single object in Aero, meaning you can’t add behaviors to each piece. If you have two objects you’d like to use in Aero, select and export each object individually to maintain them as unique objects.
